This master`s thesis introduces a conceptual model for Self-Service Business Intelligence allowing organizations to analyze their infrastructural environment and proposes a possible implementation of a Self-Service approach with different use cases. Self-Service Business Intelligence is a data analysis driven approach in which users from specialized departments analyze important company information with a high grade of independence from the IT department. The combination of Business Intelligence and cloud technologies provides architectural implementation possibilities like hybrid clouds. Business Intelligence in a hybrid cloud architecture has the potential to optimize technologies such as machine learning. It is expected that companies will migrate their Use Cases slowly but surely from internal Business Intelligence to Business Intelligence in the cloud. The goal of this study was to develop a conceptual model for good practices on how to choose from influencing factors such as roles, infrastructure, systems and technology etc. given Use Case driven requirements for physical and or cloud-based Business Intelligence. To derive a set of good practices, a leading telecommunications company and one of the leading IT companies in Switzerland, which successfully implemented Business Intelligence Use Cases in the Cloud is analyzed....
