Design and Implementation of an AI-Powered Smart Survey Dashboard for Enhanced Security Analytics
Cybersecurity technologies currently focus mostly on technical data such as system alarms, log files, or identified threats. However, many security issues still happen because of human behaviour, including stress, low awareness, or simple mistakes. This creates a mismatch between what security dashboards can observe and what is actually happening within a business.

This thesis proposes an AI-Powered Smart Survey Dashboard that puts technical data and human responses together in one system. To gather real-time behavioural data from users, the dashboard utilises adaptive questionnaires. AI algorithms are then used to analyse both the survey results and technical security data. The study follows the Design Science Research (DSR) method, encompassing design, development, expert walkthroughs, and evaluation. Six cybersecurity professionals assessed the dashboard and provided suggestions that helped improve its organisation, clarity, and usefulness.
The findings suggest that combining human and technical data makes security analysis clearer, faster, and more accurate. Analysts obtain improved context for alarms, and early behavioural concerns can be discovered before they lead to serious accidents. The thesis also introduces a Human-Centred Cybersecurity Maturity Model to aid businesses in evolving from solely technical monitoring to integrating human-focused insights.Overall, the study suggests that effective cybersecurity must consider both technology and human behaviour. The developed dashboard provides a realistic solution to achieve this by making security analytics more complete, proactive, and human-aware.
