With its Security Awareness Radar, TreeSolution Security Awareness AG offers an established and scientifically sound solution for measuring security culture in organizations. In order to continue to meet the growing demands of the market, the existing system is to be further optimized. The focus lies on increasing efficiency through deeper integration into modern learning platforms and the automation of administrative processes. The objective of this work was to transfer the proven methodological basis into a highly scalable architecture that is ready for the future.
The first step was a comprehensive analysis of market trends and scientific models for security culture. Based on this, a hybrid methodology was developed that combines principles of Goal Oriented Requirements Engineering (GORE) with elements of the Volere Template and the ISO 29148 standard. Interviews were used to precisely determine the strategic goals and technical requirements. On this basis, a new system architecture was created, designed as a native Moodle plugin. Particular focus was placed on automating free text analysis using AI to accelerate the evaluation of large data sets.
The core result of this work is a thorough and verified requirments specification that serves as a blueprint for software development. The Survey Configuration Wizard that was designed fully digitizes the process and significantly reduces the setup time for surveys. A new interactive dashboard enables customers to analyze their security data in real time using modern drill-down functions. The integrated AI interface also allows large amounts of user feedback to be objectively categorized within a very short time. TreeSolution thus gains a forward-looking technological foundation that strengthens its market leadership and paves the way for automated improvement of the security culture.
