Pharma industry ecosystem is undergoing rapid digital transformation. Several new players have been evolved in this transformation phase. All the stakeholders involved in the ecosystem are transforming digitally to support and facilitate data and information exchange. There exists some digital transformation frameworks which could be used for different industries, but there is no systematic framework available for pharma industry ecosystem in particular which comprises of many stakeholders and works in a highly regulated and controlled environment.Pharmaceutical industry manufacturing process is involving the use of sensors. This network of sensors has gained importance especially in the manufacturing process as a result of growing incidence of counterfeit drugs. This will help in monitoring the drug distribution and exploiting the advantage of such a integration to access information across the value chain in real time. It will optimize performance , improve the visibility, and also reduce the cost of production through timely supervision.This paper aims to focus upon the pharma industry ecosystem of switzerland. Different stakeholders and collaboration within them will be analyzed. A digital transformation process will be designed for the swiss pharma industry ecosystem and then the framework process will be evaluated in collaboration with the industry experts.
