This thesis focuses on improving the data visualisation capabilities of the ABILI platform, a hybrid consulting tool combining human expertise with machine-driven analytics. Despite its innovative features, the platform faces challenges related to static dashboards, fragmented data views, and a lack of interactivity, limiting its ability to meet diverse stakeholder needs.
This research identifies best practices in data visualisation, tailoring them to enhance user engagement, clarity, and decision-making effectiveness. Using a combination of literature review, expert interviews, and user surveys, the study evaluates current visualisation methods and proposes innovative, interactive, and customisable dashboard components. These enhancements address existing gaps and empower users by presenting data in an intuitive and actionable format.
The findings demonstrate the impact of improved data visualisations on stakeholder confidence, efficiency, and the ability to derive meaningful insights. The thesis contributes to the broader field of business information systems by providing a framework for integrating user-centered visualisation techniques into hybrid consulting platforms. These insights have implications for data-driven decision-making across various industries, offering a pathway to more informed and confident business strategies.
