For assessing the digital maturity of wealth management companies, this thesis created a thorough maturity model. The study focused on the need for a specific tool that helps wealth managers assess and compare their digital expertise, improving their capacity to create value and succeed as a business.
To ensure both theoretical robustness and practical applicability, the suggested model was created through an iterative process including industry experts and an extensive review of the literature. Furthermore, a structured knowledge database was constructed as part of this thesis to assist the ABILI platform's iAdvisor chatbot. AbiliCor, a University of Applied Sciences spin-off, is the company behind the ABILI platform. It is a digital consulting platform created to support businesses from all industries on their path toward digital transformation. By utilising the knowledge database, the iAdvisor chatbot provides evidence-based, instant strategic guidance that improves the efficacy and efficiency of digital consulting. Through an interactive interface, wealth management firms may systematically assess and enhance their digital maturity thanks to the implementation of the defined maturity model on the ABILI platform. Key stakeholders who will benefit from this research include clients, regulators, and wealth management companies. The maturity model can be used by wealth management companies to focus their efforts on digital transformation and highlight areas for improvement. Regulators can keep an eye on digital preparedness to make sure standards are being followed. Better digital strategy can result in better service delivery for customers.
The outcomes of this research include the construction of a knowledge database to improve the iAdvisor chatbot's advice capabilities and the development of a standardised technique for evaluating digital maturity in the wealth management sector. This research adds to the body of knowledge in this field by providing insightful information on digital technology best practices and initiatives.
