Specializing in the procurement, sale, and packaging of frozen and chilled foods, FFF stands out with its comprehensive logistical services, including storage, order picking, and product delivery. While it has a firm grasp of its retail operations, there are some uncertainties surrounding its logistics services.
To address these uncertainties, a comprehensive literature review was conducted, delving into logistics, supply chain management, SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, benchmarking, and Interview theory. This was complemented by the collection of primary data through interviews, a crucial step in enhancing our understanding of FFF. Six interviewees, including internal and external stakeholders of the company, were identified for this purpose. Additionally, a market comparison with the top 12 players, SWOT, and Porter's 5 Forces analysis were conducted to evaluate the company's market position.
According to the findings, the identified developments in the frozen and chilled food sector closely align with the issues experienced by FFF. This alignment provides a strong foundation for the analysis. Furthermore, the analysis revealed that Fresh and Frozen Food AG is a leading logistic service provider in their field, based on factors such as revenue, services offered, number of logistics transporters, and number of employees. The SWOT and Porter's Five Forces analysis further underscored FFF's strengths, including their flexibility and independence, which enable them to meet customer demands. Specific improvement suggestions for Fresh and Frozen Food AG were developed based on these analyses.
