Scheer Group, a leading provider of SAP and business process consulting services, is experiencing inefficiencies in its sales processes due to fragmented and inconsistent knowledge management practices. Sales teams frequently perform redundant tasks, struggling to access up-to-date information efficiently. This departmentalized approach results in increased workloads and delays, hindering the company's ability to leverage existing knowledge effectively. The need for a cohesive knowledge management strategy, potentially enhanced by AI technologies, is critical to overcoming these deficits.
A series of interviews with sales managers at Scheer Group were carried out to gather qualitative data on current practices and identify specific weaknesses in the sales process. Based on these insights, a prototype AI tool utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) was designed and developed using Microsoft Azure AI Studio. This prototype was then tested to evaluate its effectiveness in improving information retrieval and reducing redundant tasks.
The AI-powered RAG model prototype, developed using Microsoft Azure AI Studio, successfully retrieved relevant information from Scheer's databases and generated context-aware responses. Expert evaluations indicated that the model can significantly reduce redundant work and improve efficiency by automating the retrieval and presentation of information. The study recommends further development of the prototype to enhance search functionality and enable AI to create ready-made offers and presentations. Implementing these AI-driven solutions can streamline knowledge management, optimize sales processes, and allow sales managers to focus on strategic tasks, ultimately boosting productivity and competitive advantage for Scheer Group. The proposed AI solutions not only improve operational efficiency but also foster a more collaborative environment by facilitating better information sharing across departments. This transformation in knowledge management practices positions Scheer Group to harness its collective expertise more effectively, driving innovation and sustaining its leadership in the competitive SAP and business process consulting market.
