The Metaverse could be described as a prototype of a new virtual world that has received an increasing amount of interest in recent years. The interest originates from different sectors such as business, gaming, academics, the general public and news media. It is a constantly developing and evolving concept, and different participants enrich its meaning according to their own perspectives. The Metaverse, a comprehensive integration of various next-generation technologies, has emerged as a prominent research focus, garnering significant attention. Within the broader scope of the Metaverse, the Industrial Metaverse is anticipated to transcend spatial and temporal limitations, promoting high-quality advancements in industrial development.

This research is an exploratory study seeking to contribute to practice by showing that the Metaverse promises new business opportunities, its opportunities and challenges and strategies for implementation through the relevance of findings from the interviews with experts and literature research.
