The Client is a non-profit organization that provides care and support services in various communities, they relied heavily on a third-party IT provider for its IT needs. They wanted to decrease their reliance on the external IT provider. Efficiency, flexibility, and cost were also issues that needed to be addressed. The organization recognized the necessity of adopting a future-oriented IT solutions for their software and server infrastructure, while simultaneously enhancing greater independence.
The study involved a detailed evaluation of software and server solutions, considering all the functions the software should cover and for the server criteria like cost-efficiency, scalability, and safety. Methods included data collection, interviews, and vendor surveys.
The investigation revealed that a mirgration of the existing server solution to the cloud, combined with the transition from the current software to a new one, could be a potentially satisfactory and sustainable solution for the organization. This combination provides an efficient, scalable, and safe solution that meets the needs of the organization. The analysis also showed that an external perspective was beneficial to objectively assess the situation and make an informed decision. Additionally, the findings highlight the importance of innovative IT solutions in healthcare services, underscoring the need for strategic planning and adaptability in a dynamic technological landscape.
