Today, the challenges of ever-faster changing market and technology environments have become one of the top enterprises’ top priorities. For that reason, enterprises need to constantly adapt their fundamental structure, the Enterprise Architecture (EA), and consequently all the models, objects and their links. These elements are saved and managed in an EA repository which contains all the enterprise information that is useful to enterprise architecture (processes, data, components, deliverables et.), Based on the enterprises complexity, the EA repositories tend to be complex as well and the need for organizations to possess high quality in an EA repository is crucial and it represents an essential key factor. This thesis aims to identify the current quality problems of an enterprise architecture repository identifying guidelines and techniques to assess and improve its level of quality. The study proposes a survey for EA practitioners, who have familiarity at least with one EA repository, and a case study at UBS where an adapted TDQM (Total Data Quality Management) methodology will be implemented with the aim to assure a high level of data and information quality in a business architecture repository managed in ARIS, software tool by Software AG.
