Circet Switzerland is currently on the roll-out of very high speed fixed broadband services, namely glas-fiber network, in different municipalities. Circet Switzerland is a very young company, founded in 2020. The fast growth of the company allowed Circet to obtain large projects and to establish itself in the market of telecom infrastructure. However, Circet Switzerland has just started entering the market of the mobile telecommunications this year.
The author, employed at Circet, conducted research about the exisiting process of the acquisition process. Existing documentation about the process proved to be scarce and inaccurate. Thus, interviews with various experts were conducted, to gain in-depth knowledge about the process and process creation at Circet Switzerland. This knowledge was then compared to existing research about business process management and business process modelling. The comparison between the operational activity and the academic best practices provided the author with information about potential improvements.
The study managed to create an As-Is (current process) process model. After analyzing the As-Is model, a To-Be (improved process) model of the process was created which included improvements to the As-Is model that were found using interviews and various analysis. The study also helped to indoctrinate the company of Circet Switzerland with the concept of business process managment and business process modelling for future processes.
