The Quality Assurance department, which is subordinate to the IT department, does not report any KPIs yet. This bachelor thesis should change it and identify meaningful KPIs for the Quality Assurance area. It should consider how raw data from different systems should be integrated into the existing reporting tool called management information system (MIS). Furthermore, a specification should be made for the identified KPIs.

To define the requirements for the new KPIs interviews with stakeholders was held and project requirements of the “Project KPI” were collected. Then potential KPIs were listed and a selection was made. Next, a feasibility analysis was conducted and their implementation possibilities were evaluated. Afterwards, a specification was made for these KPIs according to the internal KPI framework. For selected KPIs, an additional technical specification was created. Furthermore, the KPIs were standardized and clustered in such a way that they could be easily integrated into the existing dashboard.

This bachelor thesis has identified and specified different KPIs for the Quality Assurance area. In addition, this thesis provides the basis for how raw data from the applications must be collected, processed and calculated so that the KPIs can be displayed in the dashboard at the end.
