Connected Pharma Solutions GmbH identified the need for a document management system that provides workflows for approval and traceability. Current systems provide unsatisfactory document management and usability. The client is experienced in working with the TALL tech stack, which is built on the Laravel PHP framework. The student is expected to develop a web-based document management system that provides approval and traceability.

In this thesis, the student analyses the legal foundation for a quality assurance system in Swiss pharmacies. Further, the student develops a document management system based on the TALL stack. During a requirements meeting, a catalog with user stories is created such that the system requirements are defined. Based on the user stories, the student builts the document management system. Needed external services are evaluated and after consultation with the client integrated. During the development phase, the client and student held weekly update meetings to discuss the status and further steps.

Based on the TALL tech stack, a document management system has been developed. The system supports individual user and document management. Documents can be created as drafts and published with an approval workflow. With a numbered hierarchy, the documents can be structured hierarchically. User accounts are individually managed and do not require a system administrator. Based on the proposed work, the client can build a productive system and introduce a purpose-built document management system to the market that is specificially developed for the use in Swiss pharamcies. With the system, the client's customers can enhance the documentation of quality assurance processes and thus improve their quality of service. Integrated approval workflows enable fast releases of new documents and electronic reminders. Changes to document versions are traced such that changes can be understood.
