The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to propose a reasonable recommendation regarding the market entry of the client fat panda GmbH. The client wishes to acquire a structured industry analysis with components covering the theory, the data protection in Switzerland, the market potential and the current desires and wishes of the customers.

So far, the client is missing the knowledge on what the industry desires and where it sees a call for action, regarding software solutions, neither has it been proven to be an industry with an existing profitable market. Furthermore, the competitors offer has not been analyzed yet.
The client wants to know whether they shall entre the market or if the industry does not provide enough potential to be lucrative.
First, the gathered theory and information is being illustrated and presented to the client. Interviews have been conducted with doctors to reveal the general view on the current industry situation. This information shall further help the client to understand the desires and problems arising entering the market. With this basis the fundament was built for a reasoned analysis of the industry resulting in an applicable recommendation.
Second, all the previously displayed data and interview results have been analysed and discussed, regarding their influence on the industry’s profitability and competition. Potential gaps in the market have been illustrated.
Finally, the recommendation regarding the market entry is proposed reasonably.
Although there is a market potential in the growing industry and small market shares could be gained annually, the arising problems are predominant. The main dilemma is that the current market seeks all-in-one solutions from their providers and offering microservices will not help the company survive in this industry. The option of building its own solution to enter the market is not to be recommended either, since the time investment will be tremendous, and the market is already saturated with solutions.
Additionally, further options have been displayed to provide more possibilities to the client. These options contain different approaches on how to enter the market or even a change in industry.
