Benoit Consulting has already designed some assessment tools, even translated into Chinese. The problem is they are not sure how to approach these companies operating in China. They want to know their opinions and responses about online assessment tools. The main objective of this project is to find out: 1. the usage situation of assessment tools in China, and how to approach companies and let them try the products. 2. What types of products will be suitable specifically for Chinese companies.
The first part deals with theoretical aspects of online assessment followed by the introduction of the Chinese market situation. Then feedback about online assessment tools designed by Benoit Consulting will be given. The approached companies will be analyzed, followed by the analysis of the questionnaire. Based on the data, suggesions and conclustions will be made.
Based on the results, the main objectives are realized. Based on the analysis of approached companies, different company profiles are pictured. Different categories of companies have different considerations about the online assessment tools and the analysis of the distribution of rejection reasons will serve Benoit Consulting as a marketing foundation. It is analysed which type of companies might be easier to target, and what types of chances there are.
The questionnaire analysis provides an overview of the knowledge and usage of online assessment tools in China. Since these are mainly from decision makers, the data is representative. General situations like how many participants have already used assessment tools, and how many have not, are well depicted. The detailed questions about what types of products are needed, and what characteristics the products should have are also analyzed. This analysis will give very detailed guidance to Benoit Consulting in terms of different directions for further product development.
