NICER – the National Institute for Cancer Epidemiology and Registration manages the cancer registry of these support services. Since January 2020, NICER has got the right to set up and manage the newly created organization "National Agency for Cancer Registration (NACR)" and, just like so, to regulate and collect data about all cancer diseases in Switzerland. Through the help of the doctors, hospitals, and the Cantonal Cancer Registries (CCR), gathering all cancer-related data of patients is possible. It can be reported through the CCRs directly to NACR.
NACR has to manage numerous stakeholders such as the FOPH, FSO, GDK – CDS, CCRs, etc. As NACR is a newer organization, the stakeholder needs are not obvious. The goal of this Bachelor Thesis was to detect the stakeholder's expectations and requirements through stakeholder analysis and, thus, the stakeholder evaluation and management took a crucial part in this project.
A primary and secondary data collection was conducted. Stakeholders were invited to take part in interviews, so the different aspects and viewpoints could be recorded. Afterward, the stakeholder interviews and the internal stakeholder survey, which was done previously by NACR, were evaluated, and goals for action were defined. Furthermore, the recommendations to achieve the action goals were described. To finally manage the stakeholders from one single system, the selection and proposal for a new assisting tool out of a listing of options had to be recommended. Various approaches and programs were identified, weighed, and evaluated according to the stakeholder's and client's needs. The final tool suggestion, Odoo, allows NICER to plan further interactions with its stakeholders.
