Aerosol Sprays have been used for decades. This type of dispensing system compressed in a bottle or can creates a mist of fine liquid particles. Aerosol emissions by mass are volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It is widely known that those toxins have harmful impact on the environment and people’s health. The rising awareness and demand for more sustainable products led to new inventions providing alternatives. Our client recognized the market potential and wanted a profound market insight for a so-called EcoSpread solution.
To get this profound market insight, the authors conducted interviews with potential customer’s packaging responsibles in several industries operating with aerosol cans and companies in all different sizes. Therewith, they were able to understand best their decision-making, their pains, and gains.
The authors were able to recognise certain decision patterns and to identify, in which segment in terms of company size and industry the potential is the biggest. As a conclusion, the authors show, in which industries which benefits of the eco-friendly solution should be positioned in order to gain most interest. The thesis also shows up how likely it is to get individual companies as a customer and contains suggestions how the client should proceed with the respective companies.
