Monitoring of Resource Planning

The company document provides a solution for a yearly rolling planning tool and a better way to monitor the current resource planning., supported by Power BI, a business intelligence tool.

Digicomp is looking for digital support for our rolling monitoring process of course andresource planning. Objective: Monitoring of the yearly planning with a deep insight into each course, that also allows alerts and email connections on-click. The existing data in Salesforce are screened for clues, data quality and missing information to recommend valuable monitoring. The goal is to bring possible automatization from the results from the steps above. Draw a useable monitoring process for more customer-friendly, economical, efficient andpartially automated planning of the training courses.
The current process was looked at by interviewing and shadowing on what data is generated and used, as well as what systems and data storages are used. The overall process and data flow was analyzed and drawn in BPMN model for a common understanding. We looked for technologies for future opportunities and to support resource planning for on-campus and online courses. The decision of what resource planning tool can be used, taken by the company fall on to the business intelligence tool Power BI. Current and new reports were built with the tool for a better usage and overview.
This analysis will help the company in long term resource planning, incl. recommendation of the most frequent courses and suggest having them more often.
