Business Plan for AbiliCor
Business Plans have been widely used, primary functioning to attract investors and explain the business concept. A team full of visionaries might struggle with too many ideas and motivations which create indifferences amongst the core team. Hereby fulfils the document its second purpose: Orientation.

AbiliCor has written its first business plan in 2018 but since then figures and opinions have been changed. Reaching out to the FHNW, a new plan was demanded in in form of a Bachelor Thesis to create clarity within the company. After the initial meeting the goals were set and work could start. To construct the procedure for the thesis, a scientific approach to tackle issues efficiently at hand was necessary. A tool for writing business plans by describing different sections and emphasize suggestions was used through out the whole process.
The creation of the business plan was completed in three different phases.
First did a gap-analysis incorporate old documents to indicate areas where research is needed for complete information. Hereby were suggestions described on how to display each section. Secondly were the empty spaces filled through data collection in form of desk research, questionnaires and interviews. Third and lastly was it to formulate the different sections of the plan. Intentions were to display complete information in an appealing manner.
At the end of the process was the initial goal achieved: A complete business plan for AbiliCor. This document not only serves as the face of AbiliCor but rather creates discussion within the company. A strive into the same direction is necessary for a successful start-up and this work provokes to take care of this problematic.
Through a retrospective outlook on the whole process several learnings could have been observed, on how to work more effectively on writing business plans. Firstly, should a simple construct of the different sections be done, it creates organization and ensures complete information. Secondly should enough time be planned for minor activities and buffers in between work stages be considered. This tightly connects to the third point, communication to third parties must be done in time. Lastly is initiative and creativity appreciated in business plans. Different approaches and solutions give clients the chance to advance opinions and therefore rather meet their expectations and desires.
