LangSys GmbH offers management consulting in the machine industry. Furthermore, they support Swiss SMEs to expand to China and vice versa. LangSys GmbH already had a web presence which was not fully satisfying the customer and company needs. The aim of this thesis was to establish a new website concept, which covers all requirements.
The project was divided into two main phases - information gathering and concept. In the first phase, the FHNW team established the scope of the project, the business requirements and consolidated relevant literature. Furthermore, they conducted a small-scale data analysis of the temporary website to gain more insights. In the second phase, the team brought the attained knowledge together and applied it to the needs of the client in the form of a website concept, proposing structure, content and search engine conformity measures.
LangSys GmbH now possesses the required instructions and best practices to translate into a new web presence. The thesis discusses LangSys' indivdual needs and intricacies and provides detailed guidelines for the use, development and understanding of the website. Lastly, the client is at liberty to choose from various options, regarding the next steps - creating a new website, redesigning the temporary website or apply certain concepts individually.
