Chatbots are popular tools that came into limelight at the beginning of the current decade. This popularity is due to an increase in demand for virtual assistants by organizations on their websites and instant messaging platforms to promote ideas, products, or services. Another reason for this demand is due to development in the field of natural language processing and machine learning. Interactive technology is often combined with artificial intelligence to bring new ideas to the world.The current research proposes including chatbots in blended learning. The author has developed and laid out the first line of guidance on the development of the chatbot named self-learning assistant, which will support students in their learning beyond classroom teaching. In this study, knowledge base integration with the chatbot is discussed as compared to a rules-based knowledge base used for storing the information lecturers provided or wish to have in the chatbot. The knowledge base is developed in grakn, and the chatbot is developed in rasa. In the study, details about the grakn and the rasa is discussed.The chatbot developed worked with quiz-related dialogues, and the entire interaction of the users and chatbot is discussed.
