Turning Blend Calculations into a Connected Planning Process
A valid calculation is only the first step. When several blending proposals compete for the same stock, planners need a way to keep decisions, quantities and the remaining options connected.

An international company in the agricultural sector already had a prototype that calculated feasible quantities for blends between two batches. What was missing was a way to turn these individual results into a plan. Because each decision changed the set of remaining feasible options, a structured step was needed to turn the results into a coherent planning process.
The existing calculation was kept and extended step by step. Requirements were clarified with stakeholders and turned into a complete planning workflow. The prototype was then assessed through controlled test scenarios, a structured planner walkthrough and a review of the intended access design.
The prototype brings the separate blend calculations together in one planning process. A shared stock balance keeps the available material consistent. Planners can review proposals, record decisions and continue with updated options after each step. Accepted decisions are collected in structured outputs, and automatic checks compare the quantities before export. Controlled tests supported the main workflow. Further development is still needed for system integration, persistent storage and broader user testing.
