The current speed of technological breakthroughs is as high as never before. But also the adoption of new technologies is increasing with fast pace, which has an impact on the way we live and work. Therefore, the customer expectations are changing and increasing constantly. Companies are aware of this fact, and are therefore starting digitalization initiatives in order to meet the customer expecatations and not get disrupted by competitors due to missed market opportunities.However, companies are struggling in the digital transformation process. On one hand, due to organizational factors, such change resistence of the employees. On the other hand, gaps in the enterprise IT are not enabling the company for implementing the initiatives set by the pursued digital transformation goals. There are digital transformation models and frameworks, which give companies guidance on how to pursue the digital transformation. However, these models are either focused on the business or the IT side. There is no model, which combines boths sides. This research paper, aims at closing this gap, by designing a digital transformation IT gap analysis tool, which outlines gaps in the enterprise IT, when pursuing specific digital transformation business goals....
