Lean management, as a concept, gains more and more attention and importance in financial industry because of its comprehensive approach towards customer satisfaction and performance improvement of both products and processes. Lean management is recognized for its toolset and structured approach for reducing waste and improving efficiency. The main challenge for a successful implementation of Lean program is the readiness for it. This research paper aims at developing a self-assessment model for determining the readiness of organization to implement the Lean management, so that organizations can understand potential deficiencies in Lean implementation and mitigate them. An extensive literature review has been conducted to provide sufficient background information on the Lean management, critical success factors and challenges for implementing. The developed readiness self-assessment framework validated by survey method and the collected data are analysed to determine the effectiveness of the model.The survey outcomes proved that the developed self-assessment framework is effective in determining the readiness of the organization for adopting a Lean management approach.
