John Zachman was the first researcher to demonstrate a company’s need for enterprise architecture in 1987. Since then, organizations and other researchers have developed several enterprise architecture methods. As the most common models, this master’s thesis identifies TOGAF, Ahlemann and the extended enterprise architecture framework. These frameworks follow a sequential project methodology. Within ERNI, a Switzerland-based consulting company, enterprise architecture is currently insufficient addressed. The collaboration between business and ICT is not defined. In addition, business and ICT have different understandings of enterprise architecture. ERNI is seeking lean and agile enterprise architecture management that governs the collaboration between ICT and business and that enables communication between IT and ICT. The common enterprise architectural frameworks do not meet the needs of ERNI in regard to agility and lean management....
