When the acquisition of Waidhas GmbH was announced, the head of Gruner ICT realised that past integrations had been complicated because there was neither enough time to plan the integration correctly nor a standard concept that outlined how Gruner wanted to integrate acquisitions. To rectify this, he tasked the FHNW to write two concepts, creating a general standard for acquitions at Gruner AG as well as providing a specific integration plan based on the general concept.
In a frist step Gruner chose two integration strategies to use for future acquistions. Based on these strategies and an analysis of the current ICT landscape the general ICT Integration concept was written. this concept was then reviewed with internal experts. The second step then involved writing the targeted integration concept for Waidhas GmbH. It was based upon the general concept as well as an analysis of Waidhas' ICT landscape and discussion with Waidhas' current ICT. This knowledge was then combined to produce an integration plan that provides a seamless migration for Waidhas employees.
Gruner AG now benefits from a comprehensive integration plan meticulously tailored for Waidhas, ensuring a smooth and efficient incorporation of ICT systems. This plan, detailed in the ICT Integration Plan Waidhas, outlines a phased approach to integration, maximizing synergies and minimizing disruptions to ongoing operations. It is built on a commitment to sustainable growth, operational resilience, and leveraging expertise to drive business success, positioning Gruner AG for continued expansion and enhanced service offerings. Moreover, the general ICT Integration Concept serves as a strategic blueprint for future integrations across the organization. It provides Gruner AG with a clear and structured framework for integrating new technologies and systems, which is essential in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. This forward-thinking approach not only addresses the immediate needs of integrating Waidhas but also equips Gruner AG with a versatile and reusable model for future technological advancements and integrations.
