Domain-Specific Conceptual Modelling for Ontology-based Building Energy Man-agement Systems

The research process followed the design science research strategy, involved identifying key requirements for a DSML, de-veloping a solution concept, and creating a software artifact that integrated the developed DSML into a functioning system built upon the Agile and Ontology-Aided Modelling Environment (AOAME).
The evaluation phase demonstrated that the research approach effectively captures do-main knowledge and facilitates the creation of shareable, consistent, and interoperable concept models. However, certain limitations were identified, which must be addressed to fully realize the potential of the research approach in various applications and domains.
In conclusion, the developed research approach shows promising capabilities for captur-ing domain knowledge and facilitating the creation of shareable, consistent, and interop-erable concept models. By addressing identified limitations and enhancing frontend func-tionalities, this approach can contribute to more efficient communication and collabora-tion among domain experts and can help to overcome system barriers.
