Basler Verkehrsbetriebe (BVB) is a prominent public transport company within the Northwestern Switzerland Fare Network (TNW), playing a vital role in reducing road traffic and contributing to regional environmental conservation with about 1,350 employees. Currently, infrastructure project management knowledge is stored in a Word document, posing limitations such as potential data alteration and slow updates. Our goal is to recommend a modern organization-wide knowledge management solution, like a Wiki platform, for efficient knowledge sharing.
To choose the right tool, we conducted desk research and engaged end-users for insights into their preferences and handbook usage, uncovering valuable information about their needs and organizational dynamics.
Based on this information, we conducted a Utility Analysis, prioritizing criteria supported by all stakeholders. Sabio, an internal solution, emerged as the most suitable choice, with plans to integrate the handbook to showcase its capabilities.
