Academic Entrepreneurship for institutions in Switzerland

Becoming an entrepreneur is an uncertain journey with many variables. This study aims to prove a market need for entrepreneurial education and business administration knowledge transfer for dentists. Despite a growing body of literature related to entrepreneurship, little is known about the need for tailored solutions in specific industries. In the literature, there are also different opinions on whether planning for business is beneficial in decreasing the failure rate among startups and supporting growth by planning. The current state of the art underlines the importance of business planning and modelling. Talking to the target group of dentists and using Design Thinking methodologies to bridge the gap between awareness about the problem itself and a solution-market-fit ensures a customer-centric approach.
