Organizational Structure Analyzer

Today, organizations are confronted with a globalized world in which technological, economic, as well as social and political conditions are constantly changing. This challenge is forcing organizations to become increasingly flexible and innovative in order to survive. However, this research shows that there are virtually no tools to help organizations analyze their structure and address this challenge. This study therefore explores the hypothesis of whether organizational structure assessments and frameworks can help an organization evaluate its structure, assess it in terms of innovation and agility, make comparisons with other organizations, and identify opportunities for change. To answer this statement, an artifact is created using the design science research methodology. For the development, the artifact is divided into two frameworks and associated self-assessments based on the dimensions, factors, and models of an organizational structure derived from the literature.
