The recent acquisition of Credit Suisse by UBS has reverberated across the Swiss banking sector, driving an almost tenfold surge in new account openings at many universal and cantonal banks as clients seek stability. To ensure sustained company success, it is imperative to uncover potential among new and existing clients. It has become evident that limited customer insights hinder accurate potential assessment, underscoring the pressing need for a potential analysis.
This paper explores the technical capabilities of a banking system for customer data analysis to discerne the data's inherent value. By pooling insights from various bank departments, a comprehensive array of potential analysis approaches was compiled. Following this, an evaluation of technical feasibility was conducted, followed by a rigorous assessment of the data's significance.
The study highlights the extensive analytical possibilities offered by a banking system. The untapped potential within the revealed data underscores the necessity of its effective utilization. The established relevance of this data, aligned with the bank strategic goals, presents a tangible avenue for substantial value addition, securing the bank's future success. To conclude, harnessing this latent potential could distinctly propel the bank towards its envisioned accomplishments.
