Evaluation of the usage of german learning mobile applications

This research work is focused on qualified Indians living in Basel area who are facing problems at work place due to the lack of German language skills. This research work can support the foreign employees and jobseekers living in German speaking countries. The goal of the thesis is to understand the usage and effects German learning mobile Apps to help the users to select a better German language learning Mobile App. The evaluation techniques selected for this research are Usability Test, follow-up open structured Interviews and Questionnaire. Conducted Usability test on three German learning mobile apps, “Duolingo”, “Rosetta Stone” and “Memrise”. The reason for selecting those three apps is they have designed based on different learning methods. Evaluation criteria is defined for the Usability test.
