The world is in a new age accompanied by digitization initiatives, Internet access, a range of new services and products and personal computers (Hannon, Hocking, Legge, & Lugg, 2018). The changes in the economy highlight the need of IT professions and new skills to support the digital age. The focus of this master thesis is on examining these skills and identifying crucial abilities for IT graduates. According to IWSB (2018) report, about 85,000 IT jobs in Switzerland cannot be filled due to a lack of IT graduates. A new study course is therefore the major output of the thesis. The aim is introducing a new subject, which, although in computer science, proposes a diverse teaching method or rather curriculum, that can possibly attract a broader audience into studying a computer science degree....
