The records of previous research have shown that the primary sector cannot profit from the gross value added earned later along the value chain.
Analysis of the steps along the value chain and elaborating gross value added and production value.
The lack of transparency, reliability, and end-to-end visibility must be improved to enhance gross value added. A theoretical implementation of the blockchain was hence used as suggestion to optimize the Swiss pig farming’s market situation.
