As drivers hold a high responsibility in regards to the safety on the road, the Swiss transport sector is regulated and strict when it comes to initial education and continuous training. When the COVID-19 pandemic reached its first peak, social distancing and safety regulations complicated the organization and completion of these mandatory trainings as they are mainly delivered in a classical face-to-face format. Consequently the question arose in how far existing training offers fit nowadays challenges not only within the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic but also in relation to time and costs for completing mandatory trainings. To answer this questions, an assessment framework was derived from practical requirements of the Swiss transport sector as well as recommended virtual learning opportunities and existing learning frameworks from the literature. Afterwards it was applied on 9 existing CZV training offers and evaluated by 16 experts of the transport sector in form of qualitative interviews....
